Living near Rotterdam Public Library is such a treat, and it’s become my go-to spot for weekend study and practice sessions.
The video was filmed in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, on January 27, 2019.
The library is peaceful, but the real highlight? There’s a unique floor dedicated to people who crave ultimate focus—no chatting, no distractions, just pure productivity vibes. Honestly, it’s the perfect place to get things done.
This floor is pretty popular, though, and with limited seats, you’ve got to plan. I always aim to snag a window seat because nothing beats glancing up from your work to see the bustling weekend Open Market below. It’s the ideal mix of calm and city energy—just enough to keep you motivated without pulling you out of your zone.
As a full-time software developer, I treasure these moments. There’s something so satisfying about taking a break from the daily grind to focus on learning and personal growth. Plus, the internet here is solid, which means I can smoothly work on my coding projects without wanting to throw my laptop out the window (not that I would—laptops are expensive).
Whether I’m tackling a tricky algorithm or exploring new tech, the library offers the perfect mix of focus and inspiration. It’s my little productivity oasis; I can’t imagine my weekends without it.
However, I am reading a book called THE LEAN STARTUP. It has started to develop my passion for entrepreneurship and inspired me to build an MVP to solve a real-world problem. I will keep this book as a reference and inspirational book for some time.
