Study, remote interview and packaging books | Unemployment Vlog 01

This video was filmed in Rotterdam Public Library, The Netherlands, on December 5, 2019.

This morning, I dedicated 2 hours to refreshing my Python skills. It’s been years since I last used it, and I felt it was time to dive back into this versatile language. Python is a clean, efficient tool—perfect for problem-solving and creative solutions. As the hours flew by, I rediscovered why I fell in love with it in the first place.

Juggling Time Zones and Remote Interviews

The time difference between Europe and South America added an interesting layer to my day. I wrapped up a remote interview that left me feeling optimistic about what’s ahead. Tomorrow, I’m meeting some friends before I leave the Netherlands, ticking off a few final things on my to-do list.

The Great Book Dilemma

As I prepare for my move to Mexico City, there’s one challenge I didn’t anticipate—my books. Most of them are programming, statistics, and mathematics books. Shipping them to either China or Mexico is surprisingly expensive, so I’ve decided to downsize. I’ll gift some to friends and find other ways to let go of the rest. It’s bittersweet saying goodbye to these companions, but I know they’ll find good homes.

Closing a Chapter

These last months in the Netherlands are a mix of preparation and reflection. Whether it’s brushing up on Python, tackling logistical hurdles, or cherishing time with friends, every moment feels significant as I transition into this next chapter.

Here’s to new beginnings and fresh opportunities—both in coding and in life. 🌍💻📚
