My First Trip to the United states

My bestie: “Hi Amy, My parents and I will visit New York for Christmas and New Year’s. Would you like to join us?”

Me: “Yes, of course. I’d love to. “

I was still doing my Ph.D. program in the Netherlands. After my decision, I immediately made an appointment with the United States Embassy in Amsterdam. After several days, I got my passport and tourist visa stamp posted back to me. Everything feels so good.

My Mexican family flew from Mexico City, and I flew from Amsterdam. We finally met in New York, and it was a wonderful reunion.
